Early ACS Champions meet to share memories

A magical potpourri of some early champions (see photo) at ACS met at the Wyly in early November, to share stories about their tenure. We heard about:

-- Tents and soup kitchens on the mesa while building the school
-- Building the geodesic dome in a Physics Center classroom
-- Firing up the salamandar heater in the dome before classes started
(MS sound effects were especially impressive)
-- Pierre Wille stumping Dr. Schlockenhopper
-- Visit from the US Dept. of Education
-- The book "Teacher" by Sylvia Ashton-Warner and her tenure at ACS

We're working on posting audio files of these stories, and on collecting more stories.
